Let me introduce project Wonder Olive.

wonderolive_logo

An ambitious, not for profit creative endeavour by a good friend of mine. I have wanted to work on a project with him for a while, and we finally have begun and are both very excited. So who is Olive I hear you ask? Well, she is the main character in a 60′s Batman style super hero comedy podcast, soon to be available on iTunes and for direct download via the Wonder Olive site. The show is based in a Northern UK mining village and follows the extraordinary exploits of its locals, more info to be posted soon.

Just a sneak preview to give you a taste of a couple of episodes:

The Kidnapping
Pamela, feeling unwell with her brain, goes for a walk when she meets an old woman. This meeting will ultimately lead to her demise….

The Spies of Murna
Who are the spies? Why are they so interested in Olive and Doctor Rashid? The answers will be revealed in this gripping three part adventure!

The crew:

Olive: A born and bred Yorkshire lass, who says “aye lass” allot.  Varicose veins would eventually lead to special powers.

Pamela: Daughter like figure, suffers occasionally with her brain. Useless on her own.

Stewart: Fat, sarnie eating layabout who thinks nothing to eating a plateful of 24 sarnies. Olive would be lost without him though.

Craig: Mornjy brat who occasionally screeches, Olive can’t help giving him a crack at times.

Doctor Rashid: Wonder Man who thinks much about Olive, one of the first inter-racial relationships on radio!

A formidable team indeed :)

Motion Graphics

We have recently been working with the guys over at Sheffield University in the MRC Centre and Biomedical Science Department. They are doing some amazing work with Zebra fish and are show casing some of there facilities in preparation for this coming wave of new students.

As part of the project we are designing some motion graphic bumpers, along with shooting the majority of video. Thought you may want to take a peak.

James.
